Manchester City legend, Francis Lee believes Sergio Aguero has got what it takes to break a record and become City’s all-time top goal scorer.
Aguero netted twice in City’s 4-0 victory against West Brom on Saturday and this saw him overtaking Lee in the sixth position in the club’s all-time goalscorers list. The Argentine striker has 149 goals to his name; he needs 29 goals to equal Eric Book’s record of 178 goals.
Should City have a good run in the Premier League, carry on in the Champions League and go far in the FA Cup, the star striker could get close to breaking the record. Despite injury concerns, last year he scored 24 goals in 30 games of the Premier League.
Manchester city will host Barcelona in a Champions League fixture later today at the Etihad Stadium. Lee has backed the 28-year-old striker to keep on scoring goals to break the record.
