After more than fifteen years at Ambika Fashion, the Kolkata entrepreneur is bringing his experience of running a bridalwear business to LetsPost.ai.
The problem that took Puneet Madhogaria into artificial intelligence was one he knew from the fashion business. Every new collection meant another round of photography and marketing. The expense returned with each shoot, while some garments remained in stock without getting the attention they needed.
For an entrepreneur who had spent more than 15 years building Ambika Fashion, it was a familiar frustration. It also raised a question worth pursuing: could a photograph of a product become the starting point for the visuals needed to market it?
Puneet began by building a tool for his own business. According to his account, the turning point came when the content it produced started helping him move products. What began as an experiment inside a Kolkata bridalwear label became the basis of LetsPost.ai, a company he incorporated in 2026.
His move into technology grew out of the work he had already spent years doing. Ambika Fashion gave him the problem, the experience to recognise its significance and a place to test an answer.
The Business That Taught Him What to Build
Puneet holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Amity University. His understanding of entrepreneurship developed further through Ambika Fashion, the luxury bridal label he founded on Kolkata’s Park Street. The business wholesales sarees and lehengas to retailers and boutiques across India.
Running it meant dealing with stock, sales, operations and customer relationships. Those responsibilities brought him close to the practical decisions that determine whether a product reaches a buyer: how it is presented, how consistently it is marketed and how much work a team can manage alongside its daily commitments.
Technology had already become part of his response. He built the business’s website and app, automated order processes and moved operations onto an enterprise resource planning system. Long before LetsPost.ai, he was looking for ways to make an established business work more efficiently.
A bridalwear business also gives its owner a particular understanding of presentation. A buyer needs to see the garment clearly enough to make a decision. Colour, surface detail and the way the fabric is shown all contribute to that understanding. For Puneet, these were familiar commercial considerations before they became questions for an AI product.
His earlier digital projects offered a useful discipline for the move into technology. He had already worked on changes intended to improve specific processes inside Ambika Fashion. The next experiment followed a similar pattern: identify a task that repeatedly consumed resources, then see whether a tool could make that task easier.
When a Recurring Cost Became a New Idea
Product photography was a particularly persistent challenge. Collections changed, fresh material was needed and repeated shoots were difficult to scale. At the same time, Puneet felt that some slow-moving inventory was being held back by insufficient marketing.
He saw similar constraints among the smaller businesses he understood: boutiques, manufacturers and retailers with products to sell, but limited resources to keep producing content. His own experience made the issue specific. He wanted a way to create useful marketing material without rebuilding the entire process for each item.
The first version of LetsPost.ai was developed for Ambika Fashion. Testing it there allowed him to judge the output against real garments and real business requirements before extending the idea to other brands.
There is a difference between noticing an inconvenience and taking responsibility for solving it. Puneet had to move from arranging the next shoot to examining why the same difficulty kept returning. Working inside the business meant he could see both the immediate need for content and the longer-term burden of producing it collection after collection.
That proximity also gave him a way to evaluate progress. He could examine whether the material was usable, whether it represented his products properly and whether it helped his own marketing. The early result he describes was encouragement to continue developing the idea, with Ambika Fashion remaining a practical reference for the work.
Becoming a Learner Again
Years in fashion did not remove the difficulty of entering a new field. Puneet had to learn how to build in AI while continuing to run his existing business. He describes working hands-on with modern AI development platforms and testing features on his own products.
Some of the hardest questions came directly from his fashion background. Could an image preserve a garment’s exact colour? Would embroidery and motifs remain faithful to the original? Could jewellery be represented accurately? A convincing visual still had to show the right product.
Puneet says the team introduced rigorous checks to review outputs before they reached customers. His experience selling garments helped him recognise details that could easily be missed when judging an image only by its appearance.
The willingness to work through unfamiliar questions is an important part of his transition. He entered AI with experience of the business problem, then had to acquire the knowledge to respond to it. A successful feature would need to satisfy both requirements: the technology had to produce an output, and the fashion business had to find that output useful.
For someone established in an industry, returning to that learning process can be demanding. Puneet’s account places the emphasis on building, checking and learning through use. It gives his move into AI a practical character: each experiment could be brought back to the garments and the marketing task that prompted it.
The Responsibility of Building Two Businesses
A second venture also changed what he needed from himself as a founder. Balancing Ambika Fashion and LetsPost.ai meant building a stronger team and systems that could support daily operations without drawing him into every decision.
It is a less visible part of an entrepreneurial transition, but one that matters. Learning new technology was only part of the work. He also had to create the capacity to keep an established business running while developing another.
Asked what he is most proud of, Puneet connects the two chapters: building a fashion business over 15 years and turning one of its recurring problems into a technology company.
“I am proud that LetsPost.ai came from a real need, not a trend,” he writes in his submission to Youth Chronicle.
It is also why the story extends beyond the launch of a platform. A founder’s time is finite, and a new venture brings more decisions into the same working day. Puneet’s emphasis on systems and leadership reflects an effort to give both businesses the support they need as his responsibilities expand.
The Next Stage of the Journey
Puneet’s submission lists the Kolkata Couture Expo Best Bridal Manufacturing Award among his achievements. His next ambitions centre on taking LetsPost.ai to more fashion and lifestyle businesses across India, expanding into AI video and reels, and developing agency and reseller partnerships.
Building a leadership team is another priority. He also hopes eventually to enter other markets where smaller businesses face similar challenges in producing content. These are goals for the coming years, rooted in the problem that first prompted him to build.
For a young reader considering entrepreneurship, the useful part of that ambition is where it began. Puneet did not have to look outside his working life to find a problem worth investigating. Familiar responsibilities had already shown him where effort was being repeated and where a different approach might help. Recognising that possibility was the first step; learning how to build it required continued work.
His advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is direct: start with a problem you have personally experienced, test the solution yourself and keep learning even after years in an industry.
Puneet’s story gives that advice a practical shape. An established business can reveal where the next opportunity lies, provided its owner is willing to examine a familiar difficulty closely. For him, that willingness has opened a new field of work while keeping the experience of Ambika Fashion at its centre.
As he puts it in his advice to other founders, “Experience plus technology is a powerful combination.” His next task is to keep making that combination useful, one business requirement at a time.
