Some of our traditional readers may have wondered where we (The Open Journal, TOJ) have been. You should not worry for a second because we are still around. But we have settled in a another domain (www.theopenjournal.co), from our old sites: http://www.openjournal.co.za and http://www.theopenjournal.co.za.

Although you can still expect the same (and even better) type of content as published in those sites, pay careful attention to the ones from the Durban University of Technology (DUT). In the aim of providing you with coverage about every South African institution, we are expanding petite à petit.

For now, you have the responsibility to just seat down and relax, enjoy the multimedia content that we’ll be bringing from the ground to your portable gadgets, ranging from your laptops to those smartphones that don’t act smart at times.

Despite such, we welcome contribution from any tertian institution stakeholder: a parent, student, brother, sister, cousin, lecturer or tutor. Get a hold of us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, SoundCloud, YouTube, email and Google+.

On the other hand, TOJ’s team wishes all first years best of luck for this academic year and hopes that every one of them will achieve his/her goals. In the case this does not happen, may the person learn from the situation and grow as an individual. TOJ
